I still have sleep in my eyes and am marvelling at the newness of winter and catching snowflakes on my tongue, looking foolish, while Janna Meyen jumps to it...

Located in Calgary (Alberta), Mission Girls Shop is Canada’s premier women’s snowboarding shop and they're celebrating their 10 year anniversary on Saturday November 28. The store officially opened in 1999 and has always maintained a strong dedication to women who snowboard. From sponsoring riders like Leanne Pelosi, Robin Van Gyn and Joanna Majcherkiewicz at the store's beginning, to organizing women’s specific snowboarding events, the legacy continues. Let's celebrate 10 years of success with them.

[ Leanne Pelosi likes food. Her favorite recipes and other food for thought will be posted on the MGT blog so you can ride n' eat like Pelosi! Let's go!...]
Recipe 1:
So I decided to make dinner for some friends and found a great recipe online.  This is by far the best Indian Curry dish I've cooked so far.

I went to an indian grocery to get all the authentic spices, which is really important.  Especially the star anise, which I used in powdered form, and the cinnamon stick.  These two ingredients make it a bit more sweet, and oh so delightful. Get the entire recipe here.

Whistler Blackcomb ski resort is only centimetres away from breaking the record for recorded snowfall in November with 12 days still to go in the month. The measured snowfall as of Wednesday morning was 362 centimetres, about double the average for the month (148 cm) and just one or two days of snow away from the record of 416 cm. - Vancouver Sun

I thought opening day was sick, but I guess another 3 feet won't be bad either! Check it!
